AKSU Matriculation: Governor Emmanuel Promises Government Support To Akwa Ibom State University

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has promised his administration commitment to provide the necessary support to Akwa Ibom State University to ensure that the institution continue on her academic upward mobility and achieve the dreams of the founding fathers.

Governor Emmanuel gave the assurance at the 11th Matriculation Ceremony held on Thursday 30th September, 2021 at the University Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Represented by the State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Idongesit Etiebiet the education friendly Governor commended the Governing Council, the management, Students and Staff of the University for maintaining academic standard.

He urged the newly matriculating students to tap into the expensive world of technology and apply same to advance their skills as enterprenual students as well as look at areas they can create values for themselves and the society at large.
While congratulating the matriculating students on their success during the admissions process, Governor Emmanuel advised them not to engage in anti social activities such as cultism.
Earlier in his address, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Nse Essien said that a total number of 2678 students have been admitted into 40 programmes in the University.
Prof. Essien assured the students that the University will provide the enabling environment for them to attain their academic excellence.
The former Education Commissioner maintained that the University has recorded tremendous success in various areas of its activities as one of the fastest growing institutions in the country.

The Ikot Ekpene born Vice Chancellor congratulates the newly admitted students and tasks them to work hard to achieve sustainable academic success.
The University Boss advised them to shun cultism and other anti social vices that may leads to their expulsion and suspension and charged them to be good ambassador of their family, university and the state at large.
